Dulu, tutur Miekeel, sejak Sonic banyak disukai di Tanah Air (masuk lewat IU), ia banyak menyetok part-part racingnya, termasuk noken as. “Sekarang sudah mulai jarang. Ada cuma beberapa. Itu pun pakai lebel kami (MC Racing),” paparnya.

Ada 3 macam spek kem yang ditawarkan MC Racing buat Sonic 125 yang bisa diaplikasi ke CS1. Masing-masing punya profil yang berbeda. Dilabeli angka 1, 2 dan 3 (gbr.1). “Tinggi angkatan klepnya lain-lain. Untuk yang nomor 1, khusus buat piston kecil. Bisa untuk pemakaian harian. Sedang nomor 2 buat aplikasi bore-up piston CBR150. Sementara nomor 3 untuk bore-up pakai piston 70 mm,” terang Miekeel (gbr.2).

Untuk kem nomor 1, mengusung jarak pantat kem ke puncak sebesar 28,45/28,30 mm (in/ex). Sementara kem nomor 2 menganut 28,35/28,20 mm dan terakhir nomor 3 adalah 28,06/27,68 mm. Banderolnya sama, yakni Rp 750 ribu.

Pilihan lain yakni produk LHK yang juga dari negeri Gajah Putih, Thailand (gbr.3). Namun untuk label yang satu ini, beberapa pedagang menjualnya dengan harga ber­variasi. Misalnya WMC Racing di Jl. Taman Margasatwa No.18C, Cilandak, Jaksel menawarkan de­ngan harga sekitar Rp 1,25 juta.

Namun salah satu speed shop di Jl. Manyar 1 blok 02, Bintaro Sektor 1, Jaksel, yakni Hatara Racing melegonya hanya sekitar Rp 750 ribu.

Oh iya, menurut Miekeel, saat menggunakan kem-kem racing tersebut, disarankan untuk mengganti per klep dengan yang lebih keras. “Bisa pakai punya Sonic. Biar tidak terjadi floating saat di putaran tinggi yang bisa berisiko klep mentok piston,’ jelasnya.

Jika telat atau lupa, akibatnya laju motor jadi lelet dan diikuti suara berisik di dalam CVT. Tapi itu contoh paling sederhana, bila ini terus diabaikan, penyakit ini malah makin menjadi-jadi.

“Paling parahnya, setiap mau ngegas atau berakselerasi, pasti terasa sedikit getaran sampai ke badan dan mesin juga jadi boros.

Selain itu, mesin juga jadi tersendat­-­sendat di rpm rendah,” ujar Adi Sutisna yang buka gerai skutik RC Speed di Jl. Rempoa Raya No.7 Ciputat, Jaksel.

Lalu harus gimana, dong? Ada beberapa hal yang perlu dilakukan untuk perawatan mesin matik Sampeyan khususnya bagian CVT-nya. Ya udah kita ikuti langkah berikut :

1. Bongkar CVT, pertama lepas semua baut penahan cover CVT pakai kunci T-8

2. Periksa kondisi drive belt CVT-nya. Caranya gampang, tinggal tekuk belt tersebut dan lihat apakah ada retakan kecil, dengan cara dibalik lalu ditekuk

3. Periksa tapak bagian dalam dari flywheel atau teromol kopling. “Jika sudah termakan atau baret, kerja sentrifugal jadi lambat, ini juga faktor penyebab BBM jadi boros,” bilang Adi

4. Cek kondisi roller, kalau permukaan atau lingkarannya tidak rata alias peyang harus diganti part yang baru. Ingat, jangan cuma satu yang diganti, harus satu set semua

5. Jangan lupa cek ketebalan kampas sentrifugal dilihat. Ketebalan minimum 2 mm, “Fungsinya menekan flywheel sehingga transfer tenaga dari penggerak diteruskan ke roda,” tutup pria yang suka bercanda ini.

Penjualan Sepeda Motor Honda di Dunia Tembus 18 Juta Unit!

Jepang - Wow, produksi sepeda motor Honda di dunia pada tahun 2010 tembus sampai 18,1 juta unit! Angka ini jauh lebih tinggi dari tahun 2009 yang hanya 14,8 juta unit, sekaligus menjadi rekor baru Honda di dunia!

Sedang penjualan globalnya, Honda mencatatkan angka 17,95 juta. Naik dari tahun lalu yang hanya 15 jutaan unit. Dari data yang dirilis Honda Motor Corp, untuk pasar domestik Jepang sendiri malah tak terlalu besar hanya 196 ribu unit.

Tapi di area penjualan Asia & Oceania, Honda benar-benar mencatatkan angka penjualan yang sangat besar! Totalnya mencapai 14 juta unit. Wajar saja, Indonesia dan India masuk didalamnya.

Di Indonesia sendiri saja, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) berhasil menjual sepeda motor sebanyak 3,4 juta unit. Belum lagi India yang merupakan pasar sepeda motor terbesar kedua di Indonesia.

Sedang di China, yang merupakan pasar sepeda motor terbesar di dunia, penjualan Honda justru tidak banyak. Hanya 1,28 juta unit, jumlah ini malah turun bila dibandingkan tahun lalu yang mencapai 1,3 juta unit.

Penjualan yang kurang baik di China diyakini karena banyak sekali merek sepeda motor di negeri tirai bambu itu. Harga sepeda motor merek-merek lokal pun lebih murah.

Negara berkembang di Amerika Selatan seperti Brazil, Argentina juga menyumbang penjualan yang cukup baik. Area Amerika Selatan berhasil menyumbang penjualan hingga 1,6 juta unit, naik dari tahun lalu yang hanya 1,3 juta unit. (motorplus.otomotifnet.com)
