The word telephone comes from the word tele (far) and Phone (voice). So, the phone is the remote communication device via an electrical signal which is usually a sound. Initially, the inventor of the telephone was Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone in boston, Massachusetts in 1876, however, Italian inventor Antonio Meucci had invented the telephone in 1849. therefore, in September 2001, Meucci was officially accepted as the creator of the telephone by the American Congress, not Alexander Graham Bell.
The phone can be distinguished by three types, namely:
1. Conventional phones are used by way of playing
2. Conventional phones are used by way of reduced
3. Cellular Phone / Mobile.
Along with the rapid technological, has now developed a cell phone. Cell phone, or better known as mobile (HP) also referred to as a mobile phone or cell phone is an electronic telecommunications device that has the same basic capabilities with a conventional phone, but can be taken anywhere (Portable) and need not be connected to the telephone network using cable (wireless; wireless). Indonesia currently has two wireless telephone network, the GSM (Global System for Mobile) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access).
Mobile phones in addition to work to make and receive phone calls, generally it also serves to send and receive short messages (Short Message Service: SMS), phone calls are more expensive cameras often add features and Internet service (Wireless Application Protocol: WAP and General Packet Radio Services; GPRS). There is also the provision of mobile telephone services in several countries that provide third generation services (Third-Generation; 3G), adding a videophone and television services on their mobile phones online.
